what you’d pay Google for the same clicks ↑

Finance teams trust paid numbers because every click has a price tag. Organic traffic doesn’t come with one, so it gets undervalued in every budget meeting. This calculator gives it a price.

How it works

Put in your monthly organic visits and the average cost per click for the keywords that bring them in. You get what that traffic would cost as paid clicks, per month and per year. Add a visit-to-lead rate and a value per lead to see the pipeline it brings in.

When to use it

  • Making the case for SEO budget to someone who only trusts paid numbers
  • Comparing the value of two pages, or two content clusters
  • Sanity-checking an agency’s “traffic value” slide

A caveat worth knowing

Paid and organic clicks aren’t identical. Some organic visitors would never have clicked an ad, and branded traffic would arrive anyway. Treat the number as a ceiling for the ad spend you’re replacing, not a promise.

Questions

How is traffic value worked out?

Monthly organic visits multiplied by the average cost per click you would pay in Google Ads for the same keywords. It's the ad budget your SEO is quietly saving you.

Where do I find my average CPC?

Google Ads Keyword Planner, or the CPC column in Ahrefs or Semrush for the keywords that bring you traffic. A weighted average across your top 20 keywords is close enough.

Why is my number so much higher than my SEO budget?

Because organic clicks don't stop when the budget does. That gap is the whole argument for SEO, so put it on a slide.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. The maths runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent.
